Spools
Pressure-containing piece of equipment, having end connections of different nominal sizes and/or pressure ratings, used below or between BOP equipment or between the BOP and casing head. Can be manufactured with or without outlets.
Flanges
A protruding rim with holes to accept bolts and having a sealing mechanism used to join pressure-containing equipment.
Manifolds
A system of valves, chokes and piping to control flows from the annulus and regulate pressures in the drill string/annulus flow system.
